Education, Foundation, and Global Exposure

My early education and formative years were shaped in an international environment. I studied at Indian School Bahrain (ISB), where I was exposed to diverse cultures, global standards, and disciplined academic systems from a young age.

This international exposure helped develop a broader worldview—one that values structure, professionalism, and clarity across borders.

I later pursued engineering at the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), specializing in Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science. My education at NITK trained me to think analytically, evaluate materials objectively, and understand quality from an engineering perspective rather than a marketing one.

That mindset continues to influence every sourcing and procurement decision we make at Ashid Home Store today.

Professional Experience Across India and the Middle East

Following my engineering education, I spent close to a decade working across India and the Middle East, including Bahrain, in technically driven sales and project-oriented roles.

My professional experience includes working with:

• Engineering and piping materials

• Water management and industrial products

• Specification-based and project procurement

• B2B environments where accuracy, timelines, and accountability matter

Over time, I learned an important lesson:

Procurement failures rarely happen because of products. They happen because of poor sourcing, unclear commitments, and lack of transparency.

This realization became the foundation for the RFQ-driven model that Ashid Home Store follows today.

A Professional Setback and a Legal Chapter

Not every phase of my professional journey was smooth.

In one of my later engagements, a professional association ended in a manner that involved broken commitments and financial loss, despite years of sincere effort and contribution. This experience was deeply challenging and highlighted the risks of operating without clear documentation and enforceable terms.

Around the same period, I also faced a legal situation that led to a period of incarceration. It was a difficult and humbling chapter—one that forced me to confront failure, responsibility, and the consequences of misplaced trust.

I do not hide this part of my journey.

Because it fundamentally reshaped how I approach business and life.
